Mentor Group FAQs
Who is Mentor Group?
Mentor Group builds Sustainable Selling for enterprise revenue teams. We help CROs and enablement leaders develop execution muscle by uniting EQ (how to sell to humans), IQ (insight-driven judgement) and XQ (doing the right things, to the right standard, at the right cadence). With Infinite Selling® and scalable practice technology (AI roleplay, VR/3D simulations, digital experts), we turn insight into everyday habits that lift value, volume and velocity.
What problem do you solve?
Today’s selling doesn’t have a content problem; it has an execution problem. Playbooks and platforms alone don’t change what sellers do in the moments that matter, which creates the Mirage Pipeline—optimism disguised as coverage. We focus on embedding the right behaviours so forecasts become credible and pipelines reflect reality.
What outcomes can we expect—and how will you measure them?
We anchor everything in the 3V metrics: Value, Volume and Velocity. Programmes are instrumented so executives can see cleaner coverage, fewer slips, faster cycles and improved win rate, reported in board-ready language and dashboards.
What is the Mirage Pipeline?
It’s the inflation of stages and probabilities that looks healthy until quarter end—then slips and erodes trust. The fix is consistent discovery, rigorous qualification, disciplined next steps and weekly manager coaching embedded into the operating rhythm.
What do you mean by EQ, IQ and XQ?
- EQ– selling with emotional intelligence and human connection.
- IQ– data literacy and insight driven agility to meet buyer needs.
- XQ– Execution Quotient: consistent action at the right quality and cadence.
Our Learn → Practise → Embed approach makes XQ a lived behaviour, not an idea.
What is Infinite Selling®?
Infinite Selling® is our end-to-end selling process, methodology and ethos. It combines operating process, tools and training designed for modern buyers and is built around the 3Vs—raising value, volume and velocity together.
It is based on the work in the book of the same title written by James Barton and Matt Webb which is available on Amazon or in all good bookshops.
How is your training structured?
Our LEARN curriculum covers 26+ core programmes and 120+ modules across five pillars (Pipeline Sufficiency, Opportunity Progression, Growing & Protecting Revenue, Sales Productivity, Creating Demand). We deliver virtually, in person, digitally—or as a hybrid. To understand the full curriculum, please click here.
How do you ensure change sticks after training?
We hard‑wire behaviours through operating cadence, manager coaching, dashboards and prompts in the workflow—we call this EMBED and you can find more details here.
What is the Sales Management System?
It’s our flagship performance system combining LEARN, PRACTISE and EMBED to establish best practice meetings, coaching culture, process alignment and insight dashboards—so performance is repeatable.
Will we need to change our sales methodology?
Not necessarily. We can run on Infinite Selling® or adapt to MEDD(P)IC, Challenger or your in‑house framework—your way, not our way.
What digital practice tools do you provide?
- Kairos – Our modern, in house LMS that can deliver training materials, quizzes and other learning content across all platforms
- PitchMonster– AI-powered roleplays with instant feedback and manager annotations.
- Digital Experts– 24/7 AI programme assistants delivering curated, context aligned answers.
- Virtual Reality / 3D Scenarios– immersive practice to boost retention and confidence.
What is INSTIL?
INSTIL is where content meets execution: a modern platform that combines expert-led learning with digital practice tools. It’s available off the shelf for speed or fully custom for depth.
Do your tools live in our existing workflow?
Yes. We can integrate with Microsoft Teams, Slack and mobile, and connect with your CRM and enablement stack—so practice and coaching happen in the flow of work.
How do engagements start?
We normally work on a simple process; diagnose → pilot → scale: an executive diagnostic to name the behaviour gaps, a 60–90 day pilot with success criteria, then scale based on evidence.
What does a good pilot include?
Two sales teams, live opportunities and proposals, crisp 3V metrics, weekly coaching cadence, and an executive read‑out with recommendations.
How quickly will we see value?
You’ll see value in the pilot—typically 60–90 days with instrumented success criteria. From there we scale what works.
Do you support Sales Kick off (SKO) design and delivery?
Yes. We plan SKOs end-to-end—theme, narrative, enablement content and event support—to ensure the event changes seller behaviour, not just energy levels.
What’s included in Advisory Services?
Insight & strategy, methodology alignment (including your existing frameworks), design & implementation, technology integration, and reinforcement planning—so change sticks.
Do you operate globally?
Yes. Whilst we are head quartered in the UK, we are a true global company and have delivered training in 68 countries and in 30 languages.
Do you offer translation services?
Whilst we are not a general translation agency, we do localise our programmes and tools as part of delivery. That includes translating learning content, practice scenarios and user interfaces where required (for example, a fully translated Proposal Monster experience covering prompts, help text and output in your chosen language[s]). We can work with your approved localisation partner or coordinate translation during scoping.
Do you offer training in local languages?
Yes. As standard, we train in your language, in your context, using your examples, across in‑person, virtual or digital delivery.
For multi‑region roll‑outs, we also localise supporting materials so the experience is accessible and compliant in each market—aligned to your governance and buyer terminology.

Do you customise content and scenarios to our world?
Yes. We mirror your terminology, customer scenarios, methodology and governance, so learning is instantly actionable. Unlike many other sales training companies, we work on the principle of your way, not our way.
Do you work with our enablement platforms and CRM?
Yes. We integrate with enablement platforms and major CRMs so your stack works as a cohesive system.
Are you ISO 27001 certified?
Yes. We are certified to ISO 27001 for information security; you can verify accreditation using reference 227526.
How do you protect data privacy?
We maintain robust privacy controls, clear data boundaries and enterprise grade safeguards. Subprocessors and data categories are transparently documented for due diligence.
What data do the practice tools process?
We only ever collect data for the purpose of delivering the service requested. For example, Proposal Monster may process proposal content and related metadata for analysis and coaching. Default posture is privacy first with clear options for governed retention.
How does Proposal Monster work?
Upload a draft, answer a few prompts, and receive focused edits to increase buyer alignment, anticipate objections and strengthen clarity and persuasion. It’s grounded in Infinite Selling® and lives in Teams/Slack/mobile for in‑flow coaching.
What about Proposal Monster data retention?
Default is one‑time analysis with no storage. Enterprises can opt into governed retention for trend analytics and team coaching, with clear data boundaries and processing terms.
How much does Proposal Monster cost?
Pricing has two parts: a one‑off set‑up (Standard £2,400; Bespoke £6,000) and annual licensing by user bands. Contact us for large‑scale pricing.
Do you offer a free trial of Proposal Monster?
Yes—there’s a free experience to try before you roll out.
How do you support managers?
We build manager coaching into the cadence, with prompts, scorecards and coaching as a service—making quality visible and coachable every week. We also have powerful training, focused on the challenges faced by sales managers
Do you provide evidence and references?
Yes. We maintain a growing library of case studies and reference-ready kits (onepagers and 60 second clips) to support due diligence.
Will AI tools diminish real seller skills?
Left unchecked, “AI does it for me” can atrophy skills. Our approach uses AI to practise, reinforce and coach—so competence rises instead of eroding. This is evidenced in our portfolio of tools including PitchMonster and Proposal Monster.
How do you price training and transformation programmes?
Programmes are scoped to your context (scale, complexity, localisation, integrations). We shape a diagnostic and pilot first, then propose a scale plan tied to the 3Vs. Wherever possible we like to work on a fixed project price to give our customers better control over their budgets.
What makes Mentor Group different?
Every company believes that they are different, and we are no exception. Believe we differentiate from other sales training companies through the following principles:
- Execution, not classrooms: practice loops and manager cadence.
- Custom in your context: your way, not our way.
- Board-ready metrics: 3Vs and forecast credibility.
- Practice technology at scale: AI role‑plays, VR/3D, Digital Experts.
